Gentle Monster redefines retail through immersive installations that merge architecture, sculpture, and narrative. Each store presents a distinct spatial experience, challenging the norms of conventional retail design.

1. Haus Dosan (Seoul, 2021)

Located in Seoul’s Apgujeong district, Haus Dosan is a five-story flagship that combines retail with immersive art installations. The centerpiece is a multi-floor 3D installation designed in collaboration with artist Frederik Heyman, featuring kinetic sculptures that explore themes of time and space. The space also houses the Nudake café and Tamburins beauty brand, offering a multifaceted sensory experience.

2. Haus Shanghai (Shanghai, 2021)

Haus Shanghai, located on Middle Huaihai Road, presents Gentle Monster’s singular worldview alongside the Tamburins fragrance brand. The space features rotating installations, including collaborations with brands like Maison Margiela, creating a dynamic environment that blurs the lines between retail and art.

3. Santa Clara Flagship (California, 2021)

Situated in Westfield Valley Fair, the Santa Clara flagship offers a surreal retail experience. Visitors are greeted by a lifelike robotic elderly woman seated beside a donkey, set against a backdrop of kinetic installations that challenge traditional retail aesthetics.

4. Beijing Flagship (Beijing, 2022)

Gentle Monster’s Beijing flagship, situated in Taikoo Li Sanlitun, spans three stories and over 1,330 square meters, making it the brand’s largest store to date. The interior visualizes our future relationship with data through installations that evoke systems of digital storage and memory, offering a futuristic retail experience.

5. Manila Flagship (Taguig, 2023)

Gentle Monster’s Manila flagship, located in Bonifacio Global City, features a 26-foot sculpture of a man seated atop a collapsed house. Additional installations, such as a blinking mechanical eyeball and a cemented rhinoceros, contribute to the store’s surreal atmosphere, integrating large-scale human forms into the architectural design.
